The Washburn volleyball team opened with two wins in the Rockhurst Invitational Friday. The Lady Blues topped Cameron 30-20, 27-30, 33-31, 30-19 and followed with a 30-19, 25-30, 30-20, 30-18 victory over Regis.

Emily Foster led the Lady Blues with 16 kills in the opener and had a team-high 20 kills in the second match. Dani McHenry had 12 kills against Cameron and 17 kills against Regis, while Katie Brandt had 15 kills against Cameron and 12 kills against Regis. Julie Sackman had 49 kills in the opener and 51 kills in the final match of the day.

The Lady Blues are back in action 9 a.m. Saturday against Northwest Missouri State, before finishing the tournament at 3 p.m. against Texas Woman's University.
