Cold bats thaw out after shutout for big win in 2nd game against NWMSU
(May 1) The Ichabods had just four hits in a 9-0 shutout in the first game Tuesday against Northwest Missouri State at Falley Field but then the offense erupted for a 10-4 win in the second game. The first game of the doubleheader started 32 minutes late because of a tornado warning that expired just before the original start time and then lightning delayed the game further in the third inning. Big innings spark Ichabods to pair of comeback wins in sweep over ESU
(April 29) The Ichabods used a pair of big innings to erase deficits as they swept Emporia State in a doubleheader Sunday afternoon at Falley Field. Washburn (19-24, 13-17 MIAA) won the first game, 9-6 and then got the closing game 9-8 to sweep the Hornets in a doubleheader for the first time since 2000. The Ichabods will host Northwest Missouri State Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a makeup doubleheader. The games will be the final at home of the season and they will also mark Senior Day for the six Ichabod seniors. Complete release
