(Feb. 26) KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Ichabod sophomore forward Dylan Channel was the lone Ichabod to receive any postseason recognition by the MIAA's coaches as he was named honorable mention All-MIAA at the MIAA Tournament media reception Sunday night in Kansas City. Channel was the third leading scorer on the Ichabods. He averaged 10.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this season. Cold shooting dooms Ichabods in loss to Bronchos
(Nov. 29) TOPEKA - The Washburn Ichabods fell to 4-2 with a 83-67 loss to Central Oklahoma Tuesday night in Lee Arena. The Ichabods jumped out to an early 22-14 lead midway through the first half, but a 14-4 run by the Bronchos erased the lead in a wild first half that saw six lead changes and seven ties. Ichabods pull away from Sterling for 18-point win
(Nov. 25) TOPEKA - The Washburn Ichabods improved to 3-1 with a 75-57 win over Sterling in the second game of the Premier Mortgage/WIBW Radio Holiday Classic Friday night in Lee Arena. After going into the half tied at 33 with the Warriors, the Ichabods opened the second half building a 52-42 lead eight minutes into the half and the Warriors would never get closer than seven the rest of the way. After Sterling cut the lead at 55-48, the Ichabods would then go on a 17-0 run to build the lead to 24 with 4:49 left en route to the 18-point win. (Nov. 18) HAYS, Kan. – The Washburn Ichabods needed five minutes of overtime to get past the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds in a 90-85 season opening win. (Nov. 4 ) TOPEKA - The Washburn Ichabods held off a late rally by the Alumni team pulling out a 79-77 win in Lee Arena. Rashad Adams led Washburn with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Dylan Channel also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. J.B. Murray added 18 points off the bench. The Ichabods led by 13 with 4:37 to play, but the Alumni team would cut the lead to two at 73-71 with 1:37 remaining. Ichabod hoops team picked in 5th place tie in coaches poll
(Nov. 2 ) KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Washburn Ichabod basketball team, the three-time defending MIAA Champions, were picked in a tie for fifth place in the MIAA Coaches Poll that was released today in Kansas City at the MIAA's Basketball Media Day. The Ichabods received 34 points and were tied with Emporia State. Central MIssouri was picked as the team to beat with 63 points and seven first place votes. The Mules were followed by Southwest Baptist with 51 points, Pittsburg State with 44 points and Missouri Western with 41 points. Following the Ichabods and the Hornets were Northwest Missouri with 30 points. Th Bearcats were followed by Missouri Southern with 16 points and Truman with 11 points. The Ichabods will open the 2005-06 season with an Alumni exhibition game at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Arena. The Ichabods will then travel to Las Vegas, Nev. to take on the Runnin' Rebels of UNLV.

Ichabod basketball team adds additional players
(June 2) TOPEKA -- Washburn Ichabod head basketball head coach Bob Chipman has announced the Ichabods have Kentucky Wesleyan transfer Frank Phifer (pronounced Fy-fer) and prep standout Ryan Highfill to join the Washburn basketball program this fall. They join Jabulah (J.B.) Murray, a 6-3, 200-pound guard from Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, Calif., who signed last month. (more)
