Lady Blues wait out weather, split doubleheader with Missouri Western
(May 1) TOPEKA, Kan. – The Washburn Lady Blues split a doubleheader with Missouri Western winning the first game 1-0 and falling in a shortened second game by the same score. The Lady Blues fall to 27-18 overall and finish the MIAA slate with an 11-7 record. The Lady Blues will not know their seed for this weekend’s conference tournament in Kansas City until the doubleheader between Missouri Western and Emporia State is completed tomorrow. WU Tish Williams hits 13th homer of the season breaking school record
(April 28) KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – Washburn swept Truman State and freshman Tish Williams broke the Lady Blues’ single season record for home runs as she hit one in each game lifting her total to 13. Washburn won the first game 4-3 and took the second game 7-3. The Lady Blues will be back in action on Tuesday at the Washburn Softball Complex with a doubleheader against Missouri Western. Washburn is now 26-17 overall and 10-6 in the MIAA. Complete Release
